News for June...
LODGE NEWS:
We never got to celebrate our 10 year anniversary because of Covid issues.
So we are celebrating this year for the month of AUGUST!
We are offering to our newsletter friends -free dinner for two complete with a glass of champagne for any three night stay.
Just mention the newsletter when booking and which night you'd like to have dinner on us!
CAFE NEWS:
We have a wonderful dinner menu for June based on foods of the New World in honor of Fiesta Latina!
Father's Day brings classic menu of flank steak and other brunch items.
Cooking Class is June 16th and it is going to be Veggie Moussaka!
The class starts at 10:00 with lunch included for $25.00.
Call to reserve your space.
COOKBOOK NEWS:
We have the 110 recipes.We are retesting them by the metric measurements now.
The cookbook will have usual cups and such but metric too.
Who says you can't teach old dogs new tricks.

We are featuring "dishes" on dishes from the gallery and our collection.
BARN NEWS:
The chicks are growing and looking like baby dinosaurs.
The cows are happily grazing everyday the grass is green and amazingly plentiful. The last rains just made everything beautiful.
The waterlilies are just starting to bloom.
And of course the squirrels ate my tomato plants already.
The nasturtiums are doing well which means squirrels don't like them. (yea!)
I saw violet green swallows today- they are like jewels.
GALLERY NEWS:
Fiesta Latina is June 15th -18th.
Lots of wonderful events during Fiesta.
This year Blue Dome Gallery is sponsoring Natalio Chichipan Estrada, a wonderful functional potter.
His pottery is featured in the cookbook.
There will be music, tequila tasting, mercado of handmade arts, and merriment. A great weekend.
CLAY FESTIVAL JULY 10th-16th
We are looking forward to Mary Fischer's clay workshop!
Her opening is on Thursday the 13th here at the Lodge at 4:00.
Please come and enjoy the pieces,meeting, and visiting with Mary.
I took the workshop last year and loved it.
